Class Descriptions


Beginner Yoga

Beginner Yoga class will feature light stretching, gentle movement, and focus on breath. Yoga poses and postures will be explored and broken down in a simple and easy to follow way. This class is suited for all levels, whether you are completely new to yoga or have practiced many times. Take a few minutes for yourself to de-stress, ease into your week, and have some fun.

Blissful Flow

Intermediate

Blissful Flow is designed to serve as a bridge between beginner's level and more complex, faster paced Vinyasa classes. 

Accessible to all, with attention to the "monkey in the middle", this guided flow through a variety of asanas invites students to deepen their practice as they explore how the coordination of breathwork and mindful movement can result in increased strength , flexibility and improved balance on and off the mat. 


Community

The Community Beginners class is a slow paced alignment based yoga class. Beginners are welcome and can expect easy to follow instructions, modifications, and the use of props. Classes include music, breathe work and brief meditations. All levels are welcome.

Fluid Yoga

In this class, we dynamically link the flowing nature of the breath with mindful, continual movement, and creative sequencing. This heat-building vinyasa flow increases strength and flexibility, while training the mind to be more content and relaxed throughout challenges on and off the mat. 


Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is perfect for sedentary beginners, older students, and students recovering from injuries and illness.  It begins with a gentle warm-up seated on chairs, then proceeds to standing postures, much like any basic yoga class, then ends with floor exercises, stretches and restorative postures.  Each student is individually assisted to adapt postures to their ability.  We study breathing, alignment, focus, core strength, and pure enjoyment of movement.  Expect improvement in flexibility, strength, balance, grace, agility, confidence and health.

Healing Yoga

HEALing Yoga is a slow flow vinyasa; a mindful class with an emphasis on alignment and self- awareness. Students will be guided with language to allow themselves to explore what needs deeper nurturing. HEALing yoga allows one to be aware and hear what their body is signaling, be able to interpret these signals mindfully, and approach oneself with loving-kindness. This class will end with restorative postures and an extended savasana.


Mat Pilates

Join us for Mat Pilates designed to help you build core strength, enhance flexibility, and cultivate mind-body awareness in 45-minutes. Whether you're a beginner or experienced practitioner, this class offers modifications to suit all levels.

Mindful Yoga Movement / Movimientos de yoga en atención plena

The mindfulness movement class is a slow gentle yoga class where each pose has a series of movements that are done slowly and mindfully. There are moments of meditation at the beginning , middle and the end in Savasana. We also integrate some restorative poses in between the movements.

En esta clase  se llevarán a cabo unos movimientos dentro de cada pose de yoga . Estos movimientos  serán lentos, cuidadosos y en atención plena para que estudiantes que son principiantes de yoga puedan aprender a su propio paso.


Mom & Baby

This class is a gentle yoga class designed to help new moms regain muscle tone, abdominal strength, and flexibility, which cultivates a peaceful, loving connection with the baby, and themselves. Postures stretch and strengthen tight muscles, while breath work, and relaxation exercises help students feel rejuvenated, and refreshed. Along with supporting nursing and baby wearing through specific stretches and postures. Moms have a chance to interact with the baby during yoga practice, learning potential exercises to do at home. The class will incorporate infant massage and acupressure techniques. Please bring a receiving blanket for the baby to lie on, and any toys your baby enjoys. Due to the unpredictability of a baby's schedule, you may arrive up to 15 minutes late and still take class.

Monkey Movement

Monkey Movement is a creative dance class, focused on gaining awareness of music, rhythms, and movement through activities designed to develop coordination, strength and artistry. Students are encouraged to explore their self-expression with the use of imagery and props. For children 4 to 8 years old.


Prenatal

This class is designed to help women find comfort during pregnancy and prepare them for labor and birth. Physical postures (asanas), meditation and breath-work (pranayama) help women relax and adjust to the physical, emotional and mental demands of pregnancy. Yogic philosophy and increased awareness can be invaluable tools when attending to a new child as well as mother's own special needs during this challenging time.

Spa Yoga®

SPA Yoga® is a slow-flow, floor-based, whole-body sensory experience based on Fluid Yoga sequencing. By engaging all five of the senses with soft candlelight, soothing music, aromatherapy, hands-on assists, and a renewed awareness of taste (and sometimes chocolate!), SPA aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom of deep relaxation. The physical practice takes time to open the body's subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in an extended, guided savasana meditation at the end of practice. Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a SPA!


Vinyasa Flow

This is a vigorous class that is suitable for students of all levels. Vinyasa literally means breath-synchronized movement. Constantly flowing, we use our breath as a string to create a garland of asanas, or postures. This class is a challenge! The student will build stamina, strength, flexibility and grace.


We are offering live streaming classes!

We’re excited to host live stream classes on the Mindbody platform. Mindbody provides a seamless and all-in-one experience and we think you’ll really like it. We’ll be starting small and hope to roll out more and more classes as signups increase. Carefully read the following for details on changes to our platform and how to access classes.

Signing up for class
In order to join, you’ll need to sign up for a class through Mindbody. Signing up for the livestream is the same as signing up for any other class. We highly recommend that you sign up for class at least an hour prior for the smoothest experience. If you have an existing bulk card, you can use that towards virtual classes. Please check to see if your email is on file, if not please add to get the link for class. Visit Mindbody to signup.

Joining a livestream 
Once you are signed up, Mindbody will automatically email you a link to your email 30 minutes before class. If you sign up within that 30 minute window, you should receive the emailed link within 5 minutes of registering. Check your Spam/Promotions folders if you don’t see the email. The link will open a web browser. If you are having technical difficulties signing into class. Mindbody recommends trying another web browser. Google Chrome is most compatible with the Mindbody software. 

We will open the livestream a few minutes before class starts, so people can get settled in. Once you are in the class, you should be able to see and hear us and we will be able to see and hear you (if you turn your camera and microphone on). Once we start, we ask that you mute your mics, so everyone can hear the instructor.
