Blissful Flow is designed to serve as a bridge between beginner's level and more complex, faster paced Vinyasa classes.

Accessible to all, with attention to the "monkey in the middle", this guided flow through a variety of asanas invites students to deepen their practice as they explore how the coordination of breathwork and mindful movement can result in increased strength , flexibility and improved balance on and off the mat.

Community

The Community Beginners class is a slow paced alignment based yoga class. Beginners are welcome and can expect easy to follow instructions, modifications, and the use of props. Classes include music, breathe work and brief meditations. All levels are welcome.

Children/Family Yoga

Kids ages 1 to 5

This light hearted class is for children and families to practice yoga together. Yogis both big and small will bond through movement and games. The class will also make use of breathwork and meditation and practices which support mindfulness and reduce challenging behaviors. The yoga practice will be aimed toward age appropriate functional movements engaging both fine and gross motor skills along with partner/acro yoga poses. Let's get ready to turn Sundays into Fundays and build a village together at Blissful Monkey! Appropriate for children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old. A pass is good for 1 adult and up to 2 children.

Gentle Yoga

Beginners, Older Students, Injury Recovery

Gentle Yoga is perfect for sedentary beginners, older students, and students recovering from injuries and illness.  It begins with a gentle warm-up seated on chairs, then proceeds to standing postures, much like any basic yoga class, then ends with floor exercises, stretches and restorative postures.  Each student is individually assisted to adapt postures to their ability.  We study breathing, alignment, focus, core strength, and pure enjoyment of movement.  Expect improvement in flexibility, strength, balance, grace, agility, confidence and health.

Prenatal

Pregnant Persons

This class is designed to help women find comfort during pregnancy and prepare them for labor and birth. Physical postures (asanas), meditation and breath-work (pranayama) help women relax and adjust to the physical, emotional and mental demands of pregnancy. Yogic philosophy and increased awareness can be invaluable tools when attending to a new child as well as mother's own special needs during this challenging time.

Restore for the Nervous System

Restorative

Join us for a restorative class consisting of long-held poses accompanied by breathwork and meditation.
We will use long-held asanas to stimulate our parasympathetic system, breathwork to slow our heart rate, and meditation to soothe our emotional state. We will also be working with the koshas to access our subtle body’s physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and occasionally even spiritual, selves.
This is a calming class. You will be expected to achieve absolutely nothing and instead invited to subtly experience the joy of living inside your own body through your own breath. The class will glue back together the fragments of our weekend selves and prepare us for the week ahead from a place of solid, grounded, personal peace.
This class is open to all levels. Breathwork is optional and there will be plenty of options offered to cater to different bodies and abilities.

Slow Flow

Restorative

A mindful class with an emphasis on alignment and self- awareness. Students will be guided with language to allow themselves to explore what needs deeper nurturing. This flow allows one to be aware and hear what their body is signaling, be able to interpret these signals mindfully, and approach oneself with loving-kindness. This class will end with restorative postures and an extended savasana.

Vinyasa Flow

For more intermediate or advanced practices

This is a vigorous class that is suitable for students of all levels. Vinyasa literally means breath-synchronized movement. Constantly flowing, we use our breath as a string to create a garland of asanas, or postures. This class is a challenge! The student will build stamina, strength, flexibility and grace.
