John Prot

Community Yoga;

John teaches breath first and yoga second. His classes are meditative and aspire to help us unblock our emotions, silence our mental chatter, and balance our nervous systems. They tend to follow lineages of rhythmic Vinyasa, trauma-informed Flow and Restore, or Trance Breathing Meditation. He is RYT 200 and deeply grateful to his teachers Alex Bauermeister, David Magone, Didi Von Deck, Gregor Singleton, Kate Bush, Masaaki Okamura, and Paulina Haduong. He is equally grateful to and has trained under David Swenson, Rich Ray, and the Prison Yoga Project. During winter he joins a group of people who ice-plunge in Walden Pond, none of who knows why. Approximately one million years ago he was an amateur DJ and a radio music producer, and presently by day is a software company executive based in Boston.
